Bluetooth behaving strangely

Hey guys,

I just installed the 3.17.1 kernel update, and my usb blueooth dongle is giving me some grief of a sudden.
At first I was thrown for a bit of a loop, 'hcitool dev' would list no devices, lsusb would, and dmesg would cry with:

usb 2-1.6: device descriptor read/64, error -32

I tried 'sudo hciconfig hci0 up', and that actually put the device up, but scanning would not return anything, and I couldn't get it to work with qtsixa to pair a sixaxis controller. I reverted to 3.16.4, and the device has no descriptor errors, and hci0 is up by default. The controller also pairs without issue.

If somebody has some insight into this, I'd be much obliged!
