LXDE, NetworkManager: How to debug network applet for wifi

Hi,

How do I debug communication between the default LXDE networking applet and NetworkManager?

If I click the instance of the applet for the wireless interface, I get a list of SSIDs. I select one, enter the password, and nothing happens in `journalcontrol -u NetworkManager` or even in `journalctl`. Intermittently, the list of SSIDs will go missing and I see "Wireless Networks not found in range" in place of the SSID list (I can only speculate that whatever service is providing those IDs is crashing and restarting (as they eventually return)).

I know that wifi is capable of working as I previously used netctl/wifi-menu without issue (I removed netctl, so there shouldn't be any conflict with NetworkManager).

I didn't post any log output, as `journalctl -f` doesn't show anything during any part of this procedure (w.r.t. wifi). However, I can say that the same command will yield output when I plug in a wired connection. Something seems off.
