Hi,
to be honest, I'm not sure whether it's feature or bug.
When I click on Network Manager Applet in notification area in xfce it won't stay open, so I have to hold the button while scrolling through available wifi connections. It's pretty annoying while using touchpad, but there's nowhere any option to change this behaviour.
Is there any way to change this? Did I miss something? Is it a bug?
Thank you all in advance for advices.

Why Linux? Because it doesn't hide anything from you. It puts you so closely in control of your machine that you can feel its heartbeat.

I'm pretty certain that's a bug in the current NetworkManager applet.

Ok thx. So pretty much the only solution is downgrading, right?

I guess technically, but I would just suggest a different "tool".
If it's wireless, you can find a list of tools for automatic setup here.
If you don't care about an applet, I suggest wifi-menu (you'll need dialog for it to work). It's super simple, CLI-based, and you don't have to worry about GTK issues such as the one you are having.
Edit the thread as "[solved]" since you know the answer.

I've been experiencing the same exact issue. It is very annoying when using my touchpad. I am under the assumption it is a bug.
@Phalkon Maybe open a bug report?

I've seen multiple users as well as myself with this issue, and no other solution other than downgrading. There is a bug report opened for it. If anyone can add to it, please do.

https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 4#p1470274 :
We've got a patched version of nm-applet in Manjaro Unstable branch as of now.
Package source is here:
https://github.com/manjaro/packages-ext … ger-appletIt applies the patch from this bug report:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1149335It will build and work the same for Arch. Other than applying the patch, it's no different than the current Arch package source.
Note the patch is described as 'dirty' and the author states "Note that I have no clue what I'm doing ", so YMMV, lol... I only just added it to Manjaro repos so i don't have any feedback from our Unstable branch users yet, but so far for me it works fine.
Works for me.

@Carl Karl, Thanks! This is an amazing example of how awesome the Linux community is. We have people using three different distributions sharing solutions! I had visited that link and saw the patch when I first found the bug report. I'll probably end up trying it out this weekend and I'll give some feedback.
