asus vivobook s400ca SSD + HHD UEFI install issues

Hi folks, I'm really new in all this thing of Arch and I'm trying to install Arch (2014.10.01) on my ultrabook asus vivobook s400ca, the thing is that the computer has a hybrid HDD (24Gb SSD and 465 HDD) and also an UEFI boot, I've created this schema that maybe would it be the right schema for this computer

partitions schema
=============
HDD // 460GB
/dev/sda
    /home
    /swap

SSD // 24GB
/dev/sdb
    /
    /EFI partition  //200M

but the thing is that I get lost mounting the partitions, I also have created a .doc file that describes the steps that should be follow to  install Arch on this computer,
https://docs.google.com/document/d/104q … SAgoU/edit
but i'm not sure if this is what i  need to do. any ideas?

Thank's!

What does that mean? Please try and clarify what your actual problem is: How To Ask Questions The Smart Way

the thing is that using gparted i could make that schema on  mi disk,  but  when it comes to the installation from a  liveUSB, i get lost in where to install things and what should be mounted where.
sorry  if i  can't explain myself good, I'm really  new in  all this and this is a new world to me.

Thank's

Re: asus vivobook s400ca SSD + HHD UEFI install issues

Hi Mate,

Well, it looks like you are using four partitions. I am assuming you have already formatted them with the appropriate file systems (e.g. the UEFI partition needs to be FAT32).

To help you, we will need the actual partition numbers. For example, is your Root ("/") partition sdb1, sdb2, etc? Same for all the other partitions. GParted will be able to tell you this.

Where you mount your EFI partition will also determine the bootloader you can use. Do you know which one you want (i.e. Grub, Gummiboot, or rEFInd)?
