 On Saturdays I always run pacman -Syu to keep my system up to date.
For the past 1 1/2 months everything was cool, upgrades were added and life was nice ... err, except for that xorg 7.1. But that's an old story because I was able to figure it out.
The thing that did not work well ( and I cannot find a solution) is that after the last kernel update now my APC UPS is no longer found.
If I do a lsusb it shows my keyboard but not the UPS. Also my /var/log/messages.log shows:
"usb 2-1: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 7
usb 2-1: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 8
usb 2-1: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 9
usb 2-1: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 10"
if I plug it in; so I must conclude that somehow it is "seen" but is not accepted because in dmesg I fond:
"usb 2-1: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 7
usb 2-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71
usb 2-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71
usb 2-1: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 8
usb 2-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71
usb 2-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71
usb 2-1: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 9
usb 2-1: device not accepting address 9, error -71
usb 2-1: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 10
usb 2-1: device not accepting address 10, error -71"
I've been looking in the forums for a "similar situation" but to no avail.
If anyone has any ideas that would like to share I'll be happy to hear them ... I'm kinda  now.
