I am a bit confused regarding the reported problems encountered from the most recent upgrade to ARCH 0.7.1. This is particularly true concerning XORG7. After reading the wiki and forum articles I came away with the opinion that the previously mentioned problems would not manifest themselves on a new "clean" install. It appears that I was wrong.
Has anyone devised a how to that they would be willing to share that clearly indicates which new files are required during setup to facilitate a current basic install?
In the past the problem of making monthly system backups was a nonentity because a new install could be accomplished quickly and easily. As long as a copy of the home directory is available on some form of storage media, reconstruction of a workable system was quite simple and fast. That seems to have changed.
