When using sublime text 3 my system will freeze completely. It will not respond to anything include ctrl + alt + fx. I have found a topic here and a topic on reddit about users having the same problem but there was no working solution for the user in either one. I will add my logs here but I certainly haven't seen anything useful to go off in them.
The freeze happend at 10:55.

What kernel and video card are you using?
Did you search before posting? https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=189139

Yes I did search. In the thread you linked me the OP mentions that the only proposed solution did not work.
Kernel (uname -a): Linux skofnung 3.17.1-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Oct 15 15:04:35 CEST 2014 x86_64 GNU/Linux
video card (lspci): Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07). I am using the xf86-video-intel drivers.

The OP did not say that, they said they were unable to work out how to do it; which is a very different thing.
It worked for me for both 3.17.1 and .2

My bad, I thought that OP mean they had previously tried the fix and it failed. I didn't have a old kernel in my cache to fallback on so instead I'm running of 3.18 rc2 mainline until that patch gets into the arch kernel. So far that it seems stable. I will report back here if the problem starts up again but I believe this is another alternative for this issue.
