Randomly reboots with latest kernel

I'm experiencing randomly reboots with the latest kernel:

% pacman -Qi linux
Version : 3.15.3-1

With linux-lts the randomly reboots doesn't occur:

% uptime
 20:59:07 up 10:30, 2 users, load average: 2.26, 2.19, 2.23

The randomly reboots occur in different times, there's no common action to cause the reboot. Some times occur in < 1h others in >3h.

I've checked the temperatures and on both (linux and linux-lts) is practically the same.
(On linux-lts)

% acpi -t
Thermal 0: ok, 54.0 degrees C
Thermal 1: ok, 29.8 degrees C
Thermal 2: ok, 27.8 degrees C

when the reboots occur in linux the temperatures are even lower.

and linux-lts is even under a bigger load and the reboots doesn't occur.

early I've expected some randomly reboots the cause is Intel RC6 tech, disabling it in BIOS solved the problem, but it is disabled right now.

Re: Randomly reboots with latest kernel

Did you check the journal? Also, what version of linux-lts?

Re: Randomly reboots with latest kernel

the linux-lts current version is:

3.14.23-1

and the previous version also works perfect.

I'll wait a reboot to see the journal.

Re: Randomly reboots with latest kernel

these are the last lines:

Oct 06 20:57:58 Victor-PC systemd[1]: Starting Reboot...
Oct 06 20:57:58 Victor-PC systemd[1]: Shutting down.
Oct 06 20:57:59 Victor-PC systemd[1]: Hardware watchdog 'iTCO_wdt', version 0
Oct 06 20:57:59 Victor-PC systemd[1]: Set hardware watchdog to 10min.
Oct 06 20:57:59 Victor-PC kernel: watchdog watchdog0: watchdog did not stop!
Oct 06 20:57:59 Victor-PC systemd-shutdown[1]: Sending SIGTERM to remaining processes...
Oct 06 20:57:59 Victor-PC systemd-journal[133]: Journal stopped

that didn't make no sense, I've not requested a reboot...

Re: Randomly reboots with latest kernel

not \hbar.

I've noticed that after disabling the azalia device (Intel HD Audio) in the BIOS the system worked for an hour without any reboots, after this I manually rebooted and then enabled it again and the reboot occur after ~10m. Doesn't matter, ALSA or OSS, the reboot still occur with both.
