Can't get internet conenction on 5Ghz wi-fi

Hi all,

I'm using Gnome 3 as my desktop environment with the Network Manager service to connect to wifi on my Dell XPS 13 (9333).  I'm able to connect to 5Ghz SSID's but get no internet connection, I'm able to use 2.4Ghz with no issues at all.

Can anyone help me resolve this?

Many thanks!

Are you sure your wireless card is 5GHz compatible? Looking up your laptop model I couldn't find anything referencing that fact.

I think I know enough to know I don't know enough.

It has the intel AC 7620 card built in, and I have used it to connect to a 5GHz network when it had Windows 8.1 installed on it.
