[SOLVED] [Cinnamon] Issues after update to Cinnamon 2.4

Hi,

I've updated to cinnamon 2.4, but I still have cinnamon-control-center-upower 2.2.10-1. Therefore I have the power applet that does not load when I log in cinnamon. When I try to run the following command, I get an error message:

$ cinnamon-settings power
libupower-glib.so.2: Can not open shared object file: No such file or directory
Failed to load module: /usr/lib/cinnamon-control-center-1/panels/libpower.so

So, as a workaround I had to create a symbolic link libupower-glib.so.2 that point on the new libupower-glib.so.3.

Does anyone else have the same problem ? Do I need to uninstall cinnamon-control-center-upower 2.2.10 ?

I take it that this is a custom package that was created as part of the upower debacle.

Yes, you need to uninstall it and install cinnamon-control-center from the ArchLinux repositories as it works.

Ok, there was a conflict between cinnamon-control-center-upower and cinnamon-control-center, this is why it was not installed during the update. I have installed it and everything works fine now.
