Bluetooth keyboard general unresponsiveness and dropped keys

Using extra/bluez and following configuration via the CLI, I have Microsoft 4000 keyboard paired to an Asus USB-BT400 setup and working somewhat.  What happens more often than not is that keystrokes are dropped (i.e. I hit the keys but they don't register in the xterm on the box), or a single key will repeat itself 10-20 times.  Some of the time, it works as expected.  I can't find anything in journalctl or elsewhere to indicate problems.  The batteries in the keyboard are new AAAs.  Any advice is welcomed.

Re: Bluetooth keyboard general unresponsiveness and dropped keys

Same problem here with Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000. I tackle the problem now and then but never really got any success. The connection simply drops after a really short period of inactivity (doesn't happen on windows) or get bugged (repeating/dropping keystrokes).

Re: Bluetooth keyboard general unresponsiveness and dropped keys

I have the same problem here (repeating keys) with my microsoft wedge mobile keyboard. My laptop is a Dell Vostro 1710 with arch linux.
Apparently there is a Windows solution to this problem here: http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Keyboards … -p/1227944
Does anyone have found a Linux solution?

Thanks a lot.
