I'm using arandr to manage displays, since yesterday my laptop crashes instantly after I turn the second screen on (plugged in with HDMI cable). I have no idea what causes the problem.
crash == screen freezes, only hard reset helps

I think the issue is the same as here, downgrading the kernel helps.
