Trouble setting up wireless printing

Hello, I've been trying to setup wireless printing with an HP Photosmart C7200 printer and i've tried several times and different PPD files but it doesn't seem to be working. I have HPLIP installed and have tried the hp-setup method. Here's what I tried on CUPS: I went to the CUPS web interface, clicked administration>add printer>HP printer then I pasted dnssd://Photosmart%20C7200%20series%20%5B01E8A6%5D._pdl-datastream._tcp.local/ into the connection field from the output of

lpinfo -v

I filled in all the fields after that and tried every Photosmart C7200 PPD file but everytime I print, it can't connect to the printer. I do have avahi and org.cups.cupsd.service services running. It prints fine from the computer running Windows.

Re: Trouble setting up wireless printing

What kind of wireless it's using ?
After hp-setup, did you try hp-doctor,  hp-wificonfig, hp-testpage ?
From lpstat you should detect the URI and which protocol is used to communicate.
More details wink

output of lpstat -v:

device for PhotosmartC7200: dnssd://Photosmart%20C7200%20series%20%5B01E8A6%5D._pdl-datastream._tcp.local/

hp-doctor didn't help, And I dont have the dependencies for hp-testpage and hp-wificonfig (qt4 gui and dbus support).

Re: Trouble setting up wireless printing

Open a console and run

hp-doctor -i

hp-wificonfig might use in console too, but better you try hp-wificonfig --help, first.
hp-testpage like the above.

 hp-testpage -d dnssd://Photosmart%20C7200%20series%20%5B01E8A6%5D._pdl-datastream._tcp.local/

BTW bluetooth or 802.11 ?

hp-doctor didn't fix the problem by adding -i to it hp-wificonfig doesn't look like it can be used in console, hp-testpage complains about systray not running which requires qt4 dependencies.

It is 802.11

Re: Trouble setting up wireless printing

If it is 802.11 you should find its IP.
I found this, rather old but worth to try.
Try hp-makeuri and visit here
