Unable to get archboot to work on netbook: Buffer I/O errors

Hello all,

I recently purchases an asus x205 netbook and I would like to install arch on it.

The archboot ISO available at http://mirrors.kernel.org/archlinux/iso … t/2014.11/  (from https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/archboot) will boot on my netbook
(challenging because it has a 32bit uefi and no traditional boot).

I get a grub menu with a choice of architectures and upon selecting one, everything appears to load fine until I get  to the welcome to archboot screen.

At the archboot screen I immediately get mmc errors and I am unable to get to a shell or switch to a tty, perhaps because keypresses are not being detected.

I also get a series of errors:
mmc0: Got data interrupt 0x00000002 even though no data operation was in progress.
mmcblk0rpbmb: error -110 transferring data , sector 0, nr 8, cmd response 0x900, card status 0xb00
mmcblk0rpmb: times out sending r/w command, card status 0x400900
^ this line repeats 6 times
end_request: I/O error, dev mmcblk0rpmb, sector 0
mmcblk0rpmb

I should note that this netbook has a ssd with an intel controller

Any help would be much appreciated

It might also be useful to note that the GParted bootable disk starts and runs fine, with full keyboard and mouse support and at the native screen resolution
