KDE HDMI audio issue
I have done a clean installation of Arch with KDE. I get no sound through my HDMI connection. No media, no system sounds. I believe this is KDE related as when I had a different distro on this machine, using Gnome, sound worked fine. I am a total noob, so please point me in the direction to begin troubleshooting.

the solution was to install pulseaudio, configure the master channel via kmix and reboot.
