Nemo & lxpolkit

I use Nemo as my file manager with Openbox as my DE.

When using the "Open as root" function, the only way to I have managed to get a GUI authentication dialogue is to install "lxpolkit". The recent replacement of lxpolkit with lxsession breaks this. I have tried installing other *polkit packages, but none work.

Is there a better way to deal with the authentication, or should I prohibit the upgrade?

The autostartissue will be fixed in an upgrade, see http://sourceforge.net/p/lxde/bugs/685/
