Dear all of you,
I'm probably not thinking or doing the right way, but anyway I will try.
I have a server hosted by a well known provider. I installed archlinux on this server.
First it was intended to be only "server" usage. But I would be interested in using it also as remote desktop.
I successfully configured tigervnc and it is working quite well, but I'm not really satisfied about that solution, I would prefer tigervnc to propose kdm login screen and not directly kde.
That's why I thought about x0vncserver but for this I would need a x server and kdm running. But my server has obviously no screen plugged.
Is this possible to start kdm anyway by simulating any monitor? How could I do this?
I have searched a lot around google and this forum without success. Have you any links or do you know how I should do?
Thank you

x2go client/server may be a good alternative to *vnc.
It still doesn't present you the login manager, but you can choose the session before making the connection, so it should be ok for your needs.

Thank you. That's not answering all the point, but I could try this.
Has someone an other idea making x and (k/g/x)dm available?
Thank you
