Pybliographer is an libre EndNote alternative which assists you to gather and write bibliography for your projects.
Together with PyBlink it's the only solution that intergrates well with OpenOffice.org (biblus has lots of hassling thanks to OpenOffice.org absence of remote controlling for users and not for 15 OOo Devs)

I'm afraid that it won't work at the moment unless someone comes with a brighter idea,
I went throught building its dependecy first, which is python-bibtex and it failed at some point, looking at pythin-bibtex README file
*** "the _recode module is broken."
This means that you are using an inadequate version of GNU Recode. You
need to use either Recode 3.5, or Recode 3.6 with some extra patches.
* The stock version of Recode 3.6 from any GNU mirror DOES NOT WORK. *
and
[wael@nasreddine ../src/python-bibtex-1.2.2]$ pacman -Qi recode
