Hi everybody
I installed cocos2d from the AUR, but it doesn't seem to work.
I tried running the sample in /usr/share/cocos2d/samples, but when i run them with python2 nothing happens. No window is shown and the console freezes
Even keyboard interrupts do not work and I have to close the terminal in order to quit the program.
I have an optimus configuration with bumblebee, but I never use the nvidia card and its drivers are not installed. Bumblebee is installed for power saving purposes.
I have to say that since when I installed arch linux I have experienced some issues and glitches, but I did not care about them since it was nothing serious.
For completeness, in case they are related problems, I have to say that some programs show wrong colors (conky should appear in white, but it is shown in cyan) and (i'm not sure this is an issue, but i report it in any case) in my system buffer some nouveau messages appear, although nouveau is not installed.

I think you're on the right track, it might be a video driver related issue since cocos2d uses OpenGL exclusively.
Do other applications requiring OpenGL run correctly? Does glxgears run correctly?
Since cocos2d uses the Pyglet library, can you get a sample Pyglet application to run correctly?
What window manager are you using?
I don't know anything about optimus and bumblebee, but issues with them seem to come up often enough on these forums... ![]()

I do not have games installed, so I can't test OpenGL properly, but glxspheres64 runs correctly.
I'm using fluxbox and xcompmgr as composite manager (I thought xcompmgr might cause this issue, so I killed it and tried again, but nothing changed, thus I would say it is not the cause)
I looked for a pyglet demo, as you suggested, and I found this link.
The behavior I get with these demo is exactly the same, so I would same it is either a problem of pyglet or OpenGL (which I think is more probable)
