Arch on Lenovo Yoga 2 11.6"

I was able to get most things working using this Wiki page:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Lenovo_Yoga_2_11

But, assuming because mine is a different model (there are three or four last I checked, an Atom, a Pentium, and an i3, all with slightly variying hardware), there are a few things that aren't working ou of the box.

My main concerns at this point are the graphics which 'work', but I don't think I have acceleration, and the system suspend wich I can manually invoke (and now have binded to a key combination) but doesn't activate when the lid is shut. The funny thing is that it wakes up when the lid is opened fine. I'm thinking that I just have to bind the command to whatever input is given by the screen closing, but I haven't the slightest clue how to find out what that is.

Here is my lscpi output:

00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Atom Processor Z36xxx/Z37xxx Series SoC Transaction Register (rev 0e)
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Atom Processor Z36xxx/Z37xxx Series Graphics & Display (rev 0e)
00:13.0 SATA controller: Intel Corporation Device 0f23 (rev 0e)
00:14.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation Atom Processor Z36xxx/Z37xxx Series USB xHCI (rev 0e)
00:1a.0 Encryption controller: Intel Corporation Atom Processor Z36xxx/Z37xxx Series Trusted Execution Engine (rev 0e)
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation Atom Processor Z36xxx/Z37xxx Series High Definition Audio Controller (rev 0e)
00:1c.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Device 0f48 (rev 0e)
00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation Atom Processor Z36xxx/Z37xxx Series Power Control Unit (rev 0e)
00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corporation Device 0f12 (rev 0e)
01:00.0 Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros QCA9565 / AR9565 Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01)

/proc/cpuinfo shows that my CPU is an Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU  N3530  @ 2.16GHz
I don't see any particular lag in general use, but when I try to watch YouTube videos it's very noticeable and I only have 360p and 240p available on videos I know are available in HD. Sometime the browser, Firefox, shows some lag in scrolling as well.

Could this be due to a misconfigured x.org.conf or a lack thereof entirely? I haven't had to do very many X configurations by hand, only a couple really.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Did you install acpid? I have a Yoga 2 11, but shutting the lid causes my laptop to suspend correctly, so I'd be suprised if you installed acpid if it doesn't work.

Yes, thank you, it did work. I thought ACPI was handled by the kernel and as a result didn't need to be installed. I'm still geting the hang of Arch, I'm fairly new to it. I'm liking it a lot though. The fact that my laptop runs idle using less than 200MB ram is so nice.

I don't suppose you know about the video issue?  The module in use by the GPU isi 915, does that sound right? There doesn't seem to be much information about it online.

I'm glad that worked for you!
I'd have to look into it more, but my model doesn't come with a gpu, are you sure that yours does? You'll need the xf86-video-intel package to drive the Intel graphics if your model does not have a dedicated gpu.

Hit the googler. I'm pretty sure what you've got for graphics is the Intel® HD Graphics 4200. You'll need the xf86-video-intel package for that.

pacman -S xf86-video-intel

Let me know if that doesn't work for you.

Re: Arch on Lenovo Yoga 2 11.6"

So, I put an SSD in my laptop and opted for Gnome Shell over e17 this time around. I gave Chromium a try over Firefox this time, too, as it turns out, Chromium can play YouTube videos in HD. So I guess that was my problem? But at the same time, VLC didn't want to play HD videos very well. Do the gnome, gnome-extra, and gnome-shell groups have codecs for hardware decoding included?
