Steam connection issues

For maybe the past 48 hours or so Steam's client has been really flakey. It's taking me about a minute or more for me to connect to the server when logging in, if it'll let me log in at all. Once logged in, my user goes straight to offline, and I get the "No Connection" notification. Even though my internet is working properly, and I haven't played around in the settings or anything.

As far as terminal output of noteis concerned most of the time it spits out -

Generating new string page texture 83: 48x256, total string texture memory is 2.69 MB
local (potentially out of sync) copy of roaming config loaded - 174 bytes.

Then after a while it may or may not connect, and work for a while until I try playing again the next time.

Is anyone else having issues with Steam's networks, or is it just me?
