Greetings,
Problem: Running pacman -Syu results in "there is nothing to do", with the customary package sync messages and traffic. Last update was December 3 for lvm2 as per /var/log/pacman.log
Question: How do I troubleshoot no updates occurring? (In my years with Arch, I do not recall 3 days without updates)
System: I am running standard repos, no testing. 64bit. PC laptop. Long time install. Gnome DE so a fairly large install. I've done nothing special to the system since December 3rd. The system operates fine otherwise, including networking.
What I have tried:
Read wiki page on pacman.
Tested pacman by uninstalling and reinstalling a package.
pacman -R htop
rm /var/cache/pacman/pkg/<the existing htop package>
pacman -S htop --> and it downloaded and installed as normal.
Reviewed the /etc/pacman.conf file and it looked generic.
Re-established the mirrorlist by executing reflector.
pacman -Syyu and same "nothing to do" results
Commented out first mirrors and retried pacman -Syyu and same results.
Search forums, found one thread but it was related to testing repos which I don't use.
Thanks in advance.
Steve.

Here's all the mirrors:
https://www.archlinux.org/mirrors/status/
If your mirror isn't up to date, find a new one. If it is up to date, then there's nothing to be done.

It's only been four days... This time of year, people get busy and things quieten down.

@Jason and falcon
Tks for incredibly fast responses.
I am satisfied I am using updated mirrors so I think I am good. Just no updates since Dec 3.
I just glanced over the date sorted packages for core, comm and extra and I think it is likely no recent updates affected me.
I will wait and see.
Really really appreciate the great work you do for Arch.
tks
steve

If you really want something to download, uncomment [testing]. ![]()

That is the thread I saw. It was different enough that I thought I would start a new thread.
And by the way, today, these updated, so the world is good now!
