Hi,
so, i usually start jack from a terminal with a command like:
jackd -R -P99 -dalsa -r44100 -p1024 -n8Now, i was trying to start jack from a plain tty, without any Xserver running,
but it's not possible. I'm notified that jack can't connect to the session bus
for device reservation and that it's unable to start a dbus-daemon without $DISPLAY ...
There was some workaround posted at LinuxMusicians, setting some path variableto some socket
(i don't really remember) but it didn't work out for me ...
Any suggestions ? I have the jack2 package installed, NOT jack2-dbus, btw ...
Regards,
nik

Don't bother, found it myself:

Not quite convenient, but it works ...
