I've downloaded the TERA by torrent and installed it with wine (using winearch 32bits and a wineprefix that i created). During the install i've got 2 error messages: First Second. And now if I try to run the "TERA Launcher.exe" the certificate error appears ( And i've already created the custom/Thawte_CS_CA_G2.crt with the certificates and extracted it with the new ca-certificate cmd.) What is wrong? Why can't i open it? Is the ca-certificate really updated?
wine version: 1.7.33
PS:Sorry for my bad english and if i posted it in the wrong place!
PPS: I've created a comment in https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager. … &iId=30578 and a post in http://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/co … ying_tera/ with the similar question, visit those sites maybe they help you get the answers

Yes, as i said, i followed but i couldn't use the 11. sudo update-ca-certificates command. So i googled it and found that site saying the command has changed but it didn't work!

Can anyone guide how to install this certificate with the update on how certs are handled?
I created the file as .pem and dropped it in "/etc/ca-certificates/trust-source/anchors" and "sudo update-ca-trust extract"
The command took without error, but the TERA launcher still says "Certificate authentication error ..."

Yes. Your problem is similar to mine... So i decided to use Qemu(kvm) + vfio. Which worked like a charm. Now i think i'll test Xen for comparisson.
But it's not my expected solution though.

Yes, I was hoping to get it running in Wine.. Could you perhaps explain your setup? Is that VGA Passthrough? If it's VGA Passthrough that solution wont work for me I believe, since I have Nvidia Optimus..
Thanks.

I think you can use your nvidia card with qemu kvm, you only need to blacklist it and disable Nvidia Optimus. Here i'm using gtx 560 for windows and intel hd graphics for linux. But i'm not the best person for teaching you how to install qemu+kvm. Because i spent one week installing and configuring my VM following tutorials ![]()
