[SOLVED] Intel update and osu

I recently installed a new instance of Arch in a new hard drive. Last time I updated the old instance was around Dec 2013, so this one is quite an update in comparison.
In this new up-to-date system, everything is fine, except for one thing: playing osu in wine now shows weird artifacts that warp repeatedly (as in the screenshot).

osu runs on its directx renderer (opengl prevents it from launching). Previous system instance also ran it like that, and worked quite well.

The system uses the Intel GM965 chip, so I tried narrowing down the issues with its driver. The version of the intel driver that the old system had was 2.21.x, and now I'm using 2.99.x.
I switched to UXA and glamor but it's the same in both cases. I managed to get it to display correctly by using LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1, but this logically slows down performance to an unplayable level. I tried using a new wineprefix as well, but nothing changed.

Aside from that, everything works better on this new intel version. Video playback works fine (even better than before with high-res content now), compositing effects are all okay as well.

Is anyone else having any issues with games and intel graphics? Any ideas or experiences about it are greatly appreciated.

EDIT: It's solved now! After running a -Syu today, a bunch of things including the video driver were updated. Everything running smoothly now! Marking as [SOLVED].
And sorry for the image, jwr. I'll remember next time.
