Troubles with 3.17.6-1 kernel

After release of 3.17.6-1 kernel I've noticed, that my system got broken after update(can not login due to unable to use any IO devices) from 3.17.4-1 to 3.17.6-1.
Now after poking for couple of hours around it I still have no idea what to do next, but I've broken wifi driver startup loading and now there are two issues.
Wireless driver supposed to be ruled by broadcom-wl.
1) All that I did is just installed inel-ucode and generate new grub config. After reboot I'm unable to use wifi anymore. How to get back my startup driver loading?
2) What is other ways of getting to work new kernel version on my laptop?

Re: Troubles with 3.17.6-1 kernel

broadcom-wl is in AUR. If you use broadcom-wl and not broadcom-wl-dkms, then you will have to use to rebuild the module (build the package from AUR again).

Does b43/b43legacy not work for you?

If it is something in the kernel between 3.17.4 and 3.17.6 that breaks your laptop, then you could downgrade to 3.17.4, install linux-lts or install linux 3.18.1 from the testing repo (you can add the testing repo at the bottom of pacman.conf and "pacman -S testing/linux").

Re: Troubles with 3.17.6-1 kernel

Thanks for advice, lucke.
So, if I understood correctly there is no way to make 3.17.6-1 working on my laptop?

Re: Troubles with 3.17.6-1 kernel

I don't know much about your problem. One way to prove it is the kernel's fault is to try on another kernel.
