[SOLVED] Efi/Grub problem, boot device not found.

Been using Arch for the last week or so with no problems.
But I turned on my laptop today to be greeted with the message,

Boot Device Not found
Please install an operating system on your hard disk

I have been able to boot, by selecting,
Boot options > Efi File > EFI > arch > grubx64.efi
So the system is bootable.
But that option is only there if a bootable USB is inserted.

My guess is a problem with grub or efi, but I'm not sure where to start.
Any ideas, much appreciated.

Re: [SOLVED] Efi/Grub problem, boot device not found.

Chroot in & re-install your boot loader/manager.

My firmware has a habit of "forgetting" the NVRAM entries.

You can get around this by using gummiboot and copying /boot/EFI/gummiboot/gummibootx64.efi to /boot/EFI/BOOTx64.efi -- this is the default loader booted by an EFI system.

EDIT: Backup the original BOOTx64.efi first!
