startx works as root but not as user

Hello everyone! I can open gnome as root.but i can't startx as a normal user.and it will start successful but closed quickly returned to shell.
help me !

I guess there are several topics like yours, perhaps you could search a bit more.
Here to help you, we need more details, to avoid useless replies to matters that aren't concerning your case.
See logs and see

$ dmesg |tail
$ grep -i error $HOME/.session-errors   ## referred to user's home, not the root
$ grep -i error /var/log/Xorg.0.log
$ find $HOME -maxdepth 1 -iname '.x*' -exec ls -l {} ';'
