Jittery/stuttering sound in Rimworld & in Flash videos in Firefox

On 64bit Arch running with Pulseaudio, I get jittery/stuttering sound when I try to watch Flash videos in Firefox (but these play fine in Chrom{e|ium}) and in the game Rimworld.  I don't have anything unusual about my Pulseaudio setup, and sound works fine outside of the aforementioned contexts.

some more information would be cool, for starters

pacmd list-cards
aplay -l

should get us somewhere. Some glassball guessing. do you have tsched=0 set to your udev_detect in your default.pa? If so why? If not refer to https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pu … PulseAudio for a method to calculate the correct fragment sizes for your specific card
