Re: HELP with partitioning!

You need a seperate partition to be used as one user's home ?? hmm easy
When you install create a partition with mountpoint /john and of course u must already have defined a / one..

when you finish installation and begin to
adduser
you choose /john as home and not /home/john

Another way, create the partition with /home/john mountpoint and u can use /home/john for home, you can do it in many ways actually any way works just choose one smile

if u haven't got me, ask in details tongue

But if i choose /john as home doesnt all the programs configs end up there? i mean /.mplayer /.frostwire etc. i want a "clean" partition with no hidden archives etc smile

Re: HELP with partitioning!

No problem, I don't really know why you want to do this, but my home directory have Desktop and Files, everything goes into Files so hidden/configs files are not mixed ...
