Calibre 2.15 does not start

Guys, I got an issue with Calibre 2.15 arrived today from pacman -Syu
After I start it, calibre only shows the splash screen, and says:

segmentation fault (core dumped)

I tried the following:

  • downgraded Calibre (checked all available versions in /var/cache/pacman/pkg)

  • downgraded python2-pyqt5

  • re-installed Calibre

  • removed ~/.config/calibre and ~/Calibre's Library

Does not help...
As a temporary solution, I installed that "official" version as suggested at the developer's site via wget, and it works. But the one from Arch's repo does not.
Any suggestion? Is it packaging issue?

Re: Calibre 2.15 does not start

I just installed it (had to install 48 packages total) and it worked fine here.

Can you post (or link to) an strace output?

EDIT: did you also remove ~/.cache/calibre?

Re: Calibre 2.15 does not start

Thank you very much, Trilby
After running the strace utility, I found out that calibre crashes while it reads the ~/.config/ImageMagiK profile.
I deleted that folder and it helped. Now it works being installed using pacman.
Probably the issue was caused by the updated ImageMagik package or something damaged its profile.
