Change Root into an Encrypted Filesystem (after install)

This wiki entry shows how to set up a fresh Arch install on an Encrypted Root Filesystem. Is it possible to reach the same without a fresh install?

Prepare a root filesystem elsewhere and copy your root filesystem into it ought to work. You cant afaik encrypt an already created partition on the fly though.

cool  8)

edit:
I just found a hint for those who are interested in using an encrypted filesystem with iphitus's nice archck-kernel. Use initrd!
