Chromium please stop crashing whenever I try to watch a youtube video you piece of crap, I can't even watch stuff properly without hardware accel. on, and with it it's a crashfest... I even end up youtube-dl-ing stuff to watch it on vlc because of how crappy this is...

You mustn't use flash, instead use pepper-flash. Chromium crashes for me too, when using the NPAPI plugin instead of the PPAPI one.

You can play youtube videos directly in vlc: open the dialogue for media streams and paste the youtube url.

If you do that you only get up to 720p and no 60fps as vlc doesn't support DASH videos.

Did you try passing the url to mpv? mpv makes use of youtube-dl, this way you should get the best quality without waiting, I suppose... (?)

I don't use mvp, but I may check it out if it gets to it.
I seem to be getting a lot less crashes with chromium now anyway, I don't really know why but I won't complain.
I'm kind of baffled as to why this thread even exists, I was just randomly complaining in the first place, not really asking for help
It is just a thing that I have to deal with for the most part.
