I followed the basic instructions for installing nvidia drivers, but my OpenGL does not seem to work. When I try to look at OpenGL information in Nvidia-settings, it just abruptly closes the window.
Also, the following commands display this output:

I am using 64-bit Arch and my card is a GTX 760.
I have ran into this issue in other distros, but have never been able to resolve the issue directly (a multitude of reinstalls of different driver versions from both the package manager and the nvidia website seemed to eventually fix this issue on other distros).
Please let me know any additional information you may need to know.
Thank you.

That's strange. I'm running GTX 750 Ti without any problems (except at installation it needed nomodeset).
What version of nvidia drivers do you have installed? Did you run automatic configuration?
Could you please post output of these commands:
$ pacman -Ss nvidia | grep installed
$ cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep -i nvidia

I configured my xorg.conf myself, currently I have a dual head setup with 3 monitors (using a 460 SE and a 760), all monitors are working and xserver starts up just fine.

Also, randomly when starting GUI applications, xserver will just crash, and here is the error I see in the log from when it crashed trying to open thunderbird:

Finally got time to fiddle around with this issue again.
I did a 'sudo pacman -Rdd nvidia nvidia-utils', rebooted, installed the Nvidia.run file from nVidia's website, rebooted again and started X just fine. But I am still getting the same error with 'glxinfo'.
I'm running out of ideas on how to troubleshoot this.
[chip@41418 ~]$ sudo pacman -Qs nvidia
local/lib32-nvidia-libgl 343.36-1
NVIDIA drivers libraries symlinks (32-bit)
local/lib32-nvidia-utils 343.36-1
NVIDIA drivers utilities (32-bit)
local/libcl 1.1-4
OpenCL library and ICD loader from NVIDIA
local/libvdpau 0.8-1
Nvidia VDPAU library
local/nvidia-libgl 343.36-1
NVIDIA drivers libraries symlinks

Some advice for you: Installing the nVidia drivers from nVidia's website is not advised, and will most likely cause you trouble with upgrades down the road.

I am well aware of that. My first attempt was through pacman, and I would like to use that one, but as you can see, OpenGL did not work for me. I am out of options and decided to use nVidias' file to no avail.

I uninstalled xorg-server, everything nvidia and MATE. I reinstalled all of them via pacman, ran 'pacman -Syy', then started X, and 'glxinfo' actually gave me output instead of that error I was getting. I proceeded to install the battlenet client, the only thing I installed was mono fonts while running PlayOnLinux, but battlenet was not able to launch. It gave me an error saying "failed to create a graphics context" (error from within the battlenet client). I ran glxinfo again, and I was right back to getting that error again.
I really do not know what's going on, does anyone have any insight into where I should look for errers? My X log is clean except for:
[ 14.994] (WW) Open ACPI failed (/var/run/acpid.socket) (No such file or directory)
I'm going to look into resolving that now (I'm not sure if it's related or not, but I don't know of anything else I can do).

Looking at the older xorg log you posted, you got several warnings from nvidia driver in it.
example :
[ 53260.984] (WW) NVIDIA: The Composite and Xinerama extensions are both enabled, which
[ 53260.984] (WW) NVIDIA: is an unsupported configuration. The driver will continue
[ 53260.984] (WW) NVIDIA: to load, but may behave strangely.
[ 53260.984] (WW) NVIDIA: Xinerama is enabled, so RandR has likely been disabled by the
[ 53260.984] (WW) NVIDIA: X server.
the open acpi message is harmless, but can be can be resolved by installing acpid .
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

@Lone_Wolf, Yes, I had taken a look at those earlier and it's normal since RandR and Xinerama cannot run together, Xinerama will disable RandR, I'm not sure about the Composite and Xinerama running together though.
But in any case, I think I have resolved my issue. After reinstalling xorg-server, MATE, and nvidia drivers, the 'glxinfo' command worked; however, one of my monitors was automatically disabled. I went through setting up my DE and monitor configurations, and after enabling that 3rd monitor, the 'glxinfo' command starting throwing that same error.
After some more digging, I came across this: http://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/L … er-14.html
Requirements:
Using identical GPUs is recommended. Some combinations of non-identical, but similar, GPUs are supported. If a GPU is incompatible with the rest of a Xinerama desktop then no OpenGL rendering will appear on the screens driven by that GPU. Rendering will still appear normally on screens connected to other supported GPUs. In this situation the X log file will include a message of the form:
(WW) NVIDIA(2): The GPU driving screen 2 is incompatible with the rest of
(WW) NVIDIA(2): the GPUs composing the desktop. OpenGL rendering will
(WW) NVIDIA(2): be disabled on screen 2.
The 2 GPUs I am using is a 460 and a 760, although I did not have any errors of that nature in my X logs, and OpgenGL was completely disabled across all my screens I removed my 460 out of the equation, moved my 2nd monitor to the 760 and I now have OpenGL initializing consistantly. Seems to be a limitation with Xinerama. This has plagued me across many different distributions with no answers from their respective communities, and I finally have gotten to the bottom of it....I'm short 1 monitor, but I will live until I can replace that 460 with a 760.

You don't need to replace 460 with 760 if you got DisplayPort. DisplayPort supports monitor chaining, but your monitors have to support it.
