TeX is very slow because of searching for .texfmt-config

Hi,
I installed tetex-3.0-2 and I wanted to make some documents. But when I use tex, it takes a lot of time, because TeX tries to find some files in all my directories (I found it out with strace). It searches for .texfmt-config, then .texfmt-var, texmf, texfmt/web2c and maybe some others. Does anybody know how to solve it? I don't want to make a special user account only for using TeX.

Now I tried to strace tex on Debian and it searches some files too, but not in all my directories in $HOME. So it's much faster.

You can create those directories by running texconfig.
