[SOLVED] DNSleaks via VPN connection in gnome

I've managed to set up a VPN connection, and can get it to connect--but when I test it for DNS leaks--I see a lot of OpenDNS IP's listed...

I'm wondering if it's because I don't have the option to select the "Automatic (VPN)" method under the IPv4 settings (as I do on another machine (XFCE) that has no DNS leaks):

The only options available to me under gnome (on the IPv4 tab) are "Automatic (DHCP)", "Manual", and "Link-Local Only"

Would this explain the leaks?

I'm not completely sure why it fixed it, but I removed the dnsmasq package, and now there are no more leaks...
