nvidia 346.35 breaks cuda unified memory

After upgrading to the 346.35 version any code using nvidia cuda unified memory stopped working (including the ones from the cuda sdk). The problem happens with cuda sdk 6.5.14 and 6.5.19-1. There is a post in the nvidia forums but for now there is no clue to the problem https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topi … e-else-o_o. Any ideas if this is a packaging issue or an upstream bug in the nvidia-uvm module?

Re: nvidia 346.35 breaks cuda unified memory

As a simple dowgrade to version 343.36 didn't fix the problem I tried a kernel downgrade from 3.18.2 to 3.17.6. This time cuda unified memory worked. It seems the nvidia driver isn't 100% compatible with the newer kernel sad
