KDE trash can

Is there any way to hide the KDE trash can (and just the trash can.. not all icons) that's on the desktop? I've got a small version in my task bar so don't really care to see it two places..

Isn't simply deleting it sufficient? I guess it's just a link to trash:/.

Hiding the trash can was more problematic when it was still a normal directory, not a KIO-slave, as currently. Anyway, I have no trash can on the desktop anymore, so it's achievable.

Yup.. ok there was a .trash-desktop file which I deleted.  Thanks.
