AMD dual graphic cards problem : freeze after login for a while

Hello everyone!
I have a laptop, Acer Aspire 5560G,which has two AMD graphic card.
One is Radeon HD 6480G (APU A4-3305U integrated).The other one is Radeon HD 7470M.
I'm using the open-source driver,xf86-video-ati.
My problem is that when I turn the BIOS Graphic setting mode to Switchable, the system freezes just several seconds after tty appears.  But if I turn the BIOS Graphic setting mode to Integrated, everything works fine including X.
After the system freezes,I can do nothing but press the power button to force reboot.  I tried ssh after freezing, but in vain. I don't know other ways to get logs.
I really want to use the discrete graphic card. I'd appreciate any help.

Hi there I am having a very similar problem. But I can't access many setting in my bios as it is sort of locked i.e. not many setting are present. Did you find a solution to your problem. Also what packages did you install and what flags did you use when running ati-config.
