I'm going to betray my prejudices here but, from the xiki website:

For example type: git, bootstrap, mysql, mongo, rails, node, coffee, js, dom, jquery, svg, ruby code, file paths, url's, shell commands, etc.

...they're clearly marketing towards a particular demographic.

Now I had a nap over the issue, I think you may indeed fall within the demographic, as you know at least some of the features. Saying you should not use this, is like saying you should not use grep, just because you do not know regular expression. So, maybe you try it out, just keep in mind, that there are so many more features.

Looks pretty awesome, nice to see people are trying to 'take' the terminal one step into the future.

I often use the terminal due to the speed and customazibility of your .bashrc.
How efficient is this resource wise? I'm not sure it could print out a directory containing thousands of files within a reasonable amount of time.

Would want my old terminal just in case my graphic drivers crash big time!

Well they say it can compete with urxvt in terms of speed and it did for the short time I tried it but I didn't have such large directories to stress it.

It certainly looks interesting, but I would be much more impressed if it include features that actually boost productivity like split, keyboard synchronization across multiple tabs/splits etc..
well, I mean ... can we have a iTerm2 for Linux?

I don't know about iterm2, but the features you speak of are present in konsole.

confirmed; and for the autocomplete feature, just take a look to kingbash in the forum or in the aur.
