[Solved] libtxc_dxtn

Hi. I've been installing Arch on a UEFI bios computer. After a little fun I've got the basic system running but on trying to install a desktop or even the nuoveau graphics driver pacman fails with retrieveing libtxc_dxtn.  The packages seem to require version 1-5 but only the later version appears to be available. Not sure what I'm missing.

We need more info. What explicitly are you trying to install? What command are you using? Post the output of the command you are running.

Also, what is the output of:

uname -a

uname -a gives:

The command I run is: pacman -S xf86-video-nouveau.
The output from that is

Newbie error - I have just updated the base installation with pacman -Syu and the problem has gone away.
