3D Support

Hi,

i found out that my youtube video resolution is limited to 360p. I know that there should be HD selectable. Also supertux2 can be played in slow mode :-D
I got an AMD HD5870 and installed

-xorg (full)
-xf86-video-ati
-catalyst (AUR & amd.com Webpage)

I also uninstalled xf86-video-ati multiple times and installed catalyst over.
I also removed xorg.conf to the default (without fglrx).

And I tried to find out with glxinfo if my 3D support is working, but glxinfo does not exist.

Now - I think I got a real great mixture of all drivers and none of them works. So - how can I make things clear, how can I find out which of the drivers is actually used for my system.
(which one of my installations? My AMD.com installation failed at the end, but some files were created. The other packages were: xf86-video-ati / or catalyst from AUR)

How can I bring 3D support to work and with which package?
I mean I got a GUI with the full resolution. I feel only that thinks eg. Consoles work very slow.

Thanks for your help.

Re: 3D Support

FYI the command should be fglrxinfo

Generally speaking you don't want a "great mixture of drivers" rather, try one at a time and see which one works best for you.
If you go with catalyst, make sure to run

aticonfig --initial

After installation

Re: 3D Support

tty is unaccelerated, unless you're using e.g. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/KMSCON
Check your X log to see which drivers are being used, are there any errors etc.

What web browser are you using? Flash or html5?
