I'm sure this has come up many times, but the character limit on subject lines is frequently too short to allow for even an abbreviated description of the problem when the problem is complex.
When I'm scanning the forum, I use the subject lines to inform me about what the question is (I'm sure everyone else does this, too). If the question can't be encapsulated in the allowed number of characters, it can't effectively be asked in a way that will get noticed.
Second, even when I can get the question into the subject, when the problem as been solved there is no way to add [SOLVED] to the beginning without cutting off some of the previous subject.
Given that it is now 2015, and most people have monitors which can easily display several hundred characters per line, maybe we can afford ourselves a few additional characters?
Thanks.

I don't think our people have any influence on this. You should submit this as a feature request to the FluxBB bug tracker.

Some people use phones / tablets to access the forum ;P

The answer seems to be in the URL above. One or both of these is probably correct:

Increasing the character limit from 70 to 150 would be awesome. If phone users can't handle >70 character topic fields, how are they going to read the body text?
