Hello,
Xcom enemy within (steam version) do not recognize my wireless 360 gamepad controller, running xboxdrv. When I change input method to controller a message asking to connect the controller is shown, even thou it is connected. I have tried to start the game with the controller on beforehand, and also by turning on the controller in the game.
xpad are recognized, but using that, the controller blinks - so I blacklisted xpad and use xboxdrv instead configured to start at boot with:
# systemctl enable xboxdrvBy doing the above I can use my controller as a normal user. Other native linux gams for example: Bastion and rouge legacy works fine with my controller.
Regards
Martin

Hi
I have to start xboxdrv with this to get it recognized in XCOM
# xboxdrv --mimic-xpad-wireless --silentit is the "--mimic-xpad-wireless" option that make the difference.
My guess is that you can add that configuration option when you start xboxdrv as a daemon aswell, I have to look into that.

I would be very interested if anyone knows how to add the --mimic-xpad-wireless --silent option to the daemon.
Will post back if I figure it out

Hi,
I started another thread on the subject: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=193032 I have yet to find a solution, but I think I am on the right track. If I find one, I will update it there.
