latest upgrade seems to have broken fglrx / DRI :( [SOLVED]

Right, I had everything working peachy, fglrx, DRI, the works, it was all fine as of 27th feb. 15th March came round and I upgraded, and xorg broke, I was getting kernel panics and all sorts.

I've managed to get Xorg working again by downgrading udev to 084-4, kernel26 to 2.6.15.4-2, xorg-server to 1.0.1-4 and ati-drivers to 8.22.5-3. (last known good versions as of 27th Feb according to /var/log/pacman.log).

But I dont have DRI any more. What have I missed? It was working, with those versions. What else could have upgraded / changed to stop it working?

is interesting, because my graphics card has a TV output and that seems to be detected as a secondary card. I noticed it happening when it wasnt working with the latest versions.

Re: latest upgrade seems to have broken fglrx / DRI :( [SOLVED]

also I dont understand

(WW) fglrx(0): Kernel Module version does *not* match driver.

- I've put the kernel back to the version that was installed at the time I got it all working! I basically installed the ati-drivers, the kernel, udev and xorg-server packages that had a date of 27th feb in my /var/cache/pacman/pkg/ because when I did that update, it worked.

Jefg - if you want to roll back, also install ati-drivers-arch from the /var/cache/pacman/pkg

Re: latest upgrade seems to have broken fglrx / DRI :( [SOLVED]

Thanks again Cerebral! I thought ati-drivers and ati-drivers-arch were the same thing. There are SO many different names for these packages, I guess I was confused.
