Gummiboot freezes for a few seconds

I've installed Arch on my laptop and I'm currently dual booting with Windows 8.1. Everything works fine, but for a minor glitch: when booting up the latptop, Gummiboot "freezes" - I can't move the OS selector up and down for a bout 4~5 seconds before allowing me to choose which OS to boot. Has anyone encountered similar issues with Arch/Windows dual booting and Gummiboot?

Re: Gummiboot freezes for a few seconds

Mored detail about your setup would be helpful: firmware, LUKS, LVM, anything in the journal?

Not an Installation issue, moving to Kernel and Hardware...

Re: Gummiboot freezes for a few seconds

I've got Windows installed on a 250GB SSD and Arch on a partition of a 1TB HDD. Using UEFI boot, /boot partition is on the HDD, and I'm using ext4 file system on the Arch install. Not really sure what additional information could be necessary....
