screen refresh rate

Hii, when using KDE or X I have 100 Hz in 1024x768, but when using the init 3 (prompt) I have 60 Hz, How can I fix it? :?:

Re: screen refresh rate

I think it's limited by the vesafb which supports refresh rate up to 60Hz only.

Re: screen refresh rate

Vesafb-tng might do the trick. It is included in the archck kernels. The kernel boot option would be something like

video=vesafb:1024x768-32@85

I think I also heard that the vesafb-tng driver supports higher refresh rates

It's a pity that it isn't in the stock kernel. For me it's no big difference because I have LCD and 60 Hz is quite OK.

You must have archck kernel not the stock kernel.
