The MacBookPro 11,2 web cam (Broadcom 1570 Multimedia ...) thread

Hello, I did some reading on the wiki, and noticed there wasn't any "web cam" support with the latest version or Arch, or any Linux drivers for the MacBook Pro 11,2 systems running any version / distribution of Linux.  So I thought I would start up a thread to see how many people are running Arch / Linux on a MBPr 11,2, and would like to have "web cam" support.  Not sure if the reason behind not having a driver is lack of interest in using the web cam from the community, or if it because there is no documentation concerning the Broadcom 1570 Multimedia PCI device.  Anyways, if you would like to see support for the device, i.e. web cam, drop a reply in the thread. ...Maybe if enough people want support we could start a kick starter, and get a developer to write a driver / kernel module for the device.

I got the webcam working in an OS X VM using qemu, and outlined my steps here, http://chrisrjones.com/articles/How-to- … th-OS-X-VM
