constant 'suspend' during install (live cd 20150201) w/ solution

Trying to install from live cd 20150201 on i686 laptop, Intel.
Pc constantly going to sleep after a few moments.  Able do to very little without having to wake it back up.  acpi boot options no effect except 'off' kills the keyboard.
After a lot of trial and error:
The cure was at the root prompt to run
    /etc/modprobe.d/i915.conf
I didn't change anything, just ran the command and after it displayed I had no further problems.

I had similar issues with my laptop, so I did the following to disable sleep permanently:

    chmod -x /usr/lib/systemd/systemd-sleep

then I had to do it again in arch-chroot session.
