[SOLVED] DMAR gone

Hello and thanks in advance,

My hardware is an ASRock z97e-itc/ac with an intel 4790S. Both have supported VT-d and previously pci passthrough was working in qemu.

After a couple updates, now my passthrough is not working and I believe it has something to do with DMAR being gone altogether. I did perform a motherboard firmware update, is it possible they have done something to remove this? If so, wouldn't there be some sort of message in dmesg?

I also looked into the kernel settings of DMAR, and found my current kernel does not seem to have many options:

Well, FFS, updating the bios changed all my settings and switched vt-d to disabled but left virtualization to enabled so I didnt catch it.
